Hélène from the IG account French Mômes asked me if I would be interested in sewing a Marieke. Marieke is a collaboration between labO d'Isa and Ikatee. As I'm a big fan of Ikatee - you can see that here, here and here - I enthusiastically said "Yes".
It's a pattern with many options: a dress or a jumpsuit, short or long sleeves/pants and best of all ruffles everywhere!
I decided to sew the dress without sleeves and with ruffles at the button placket. A nice touch is the belt cord with fringes. And of course pockets, a necessity for every toddler.
The back also deserved a little ruffle. This pattern is really every rufflelover's dream :-) It provides options to add ruffles in front, at the back, at the pockets and at the sleeves!
The light weight banana fabric is from a Belgian children's clothing brand Miss Chips. Unfortunately it's already sold out at Mondepot. My girl and I both go bananas for Marieke! And you?
